The Pub

The Pub at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino
We had heard some pretty good things about The Pub at Monte Carlo and since we were staying at the Monte Carlo, it was time to see for ourselves. At one morning during our trip we didn’t have any solid plans for breakfast so we decided to have breakfast at The Pub. We arrived at 9.00 am and we were seated right away. It’s a pretty large restaurant so chances are small you’ll ever have to wait more than 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. You can also enjoy your meal in the outside area of the restaurant which is overlooking the Monte Carlo pool. But since the outside area is very popular there’s a big chance you’ll have a 10 to 15 minutes wait to be seated. There’s a number of TV’s and several big screens so you can enjoy sports while having a meal or enjoying a beer at the bar. There is a long bar with a large selection of kegs behind it. The Pub serves a very large amount of different beers so if you’re a beer fan, this is the place to go.

Our waiter was from the UK and very friendly. He handed us the breakfast menu and got us some coffee and orange juice immediately. We talked about what we were going to order for a couple of minutes and after 10 minutes our waiter returned to take our order. Our friend Dale from Colorado had joined us for breakfast and we ordered two Pub Reuben Sandwiches (Corned Beef, Pastrami, Warm Sauerkraut, Pub Secret Sauce) and the Banana Brûlée French Toast (Battered Cinnamon Swirl Bread, Brûléed Bananas, Powdered Sugar). We also ordered some bacon as a side dish.

Our food was brought to our table 15 minutes after we ordered so that was pretty fast. The bacon was perfect. Not too greasy, not too dry. The toast of the Reuben Sandwich was crispy, the sauerkraut was mild and the meat was tender and tasteful. The sandwich was great but it would have been even better if it had been a little warmer. The french fries were crispy as well but too salty for our liking. So we did not eat them all. The Banana Brûlée French Toast was absolutely wonderful. The bananes with the caramalized sugar were a real treat. The French toast was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was delicious and even though we’ve had bigger breakfasts in Vegas, the Banana Brûléé French Toast was such a rich dish we couldn’t eat it all. At the end of our meal we ordered some extra coffee to go. Service at The Pub was great and our bill totaled $66 (tip included). It was a nice meal which would have been perfect if the Reuben Sandwich & fries had been just a little bit better. Did we like our meal enough to come back? Absolutely! Next time we’re going back to have dinner.
