We had purchased a voucher through Travelzoo for a $98 Rodizio Steak dinner for 4. This offer looked too good to be true so we jumped on it. The offer consisted of an all you can eat dinner with one drink included. We arrived on a Thursday night around 10 pm since we were going to have dinner with friends from Colorado who had just arrived in Vegas. When we walked into the restaurant we noticed the place was packed. We actually had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. It’s alwas a good first sign when a restaurant is this busy at 10 pm.
We were seated in a somewhat private section of the restaurant with a round table and a large whine rack against one wall. This was great for us, we hadn’t seen our friends for quite some time so it was nice to be able to catch up. Our waiter introduced himself and got us our first round of drinks. He provided some explanation about how this dinner deal was going to work.
There was a salad bar with a nice selection of different foods like peppers, green pies, olives, rice, mozzarella cheese with tomato, mashed potatoes, cucumber, melon, green beans, fried chicken, pasta salad, beets, cheese bread, union soup, etc. We could take whatever and as much as we wanted. The presentation of the food at the salad bar was nice and there was more than enough variety. The temperature of the warm food was excellent. One of the dishes from the salad bar we particularly liked was the traditional Feijoada (a stew of black beans and different sorts of meat, mainly pork)
About every 5 minutes one of the servers would come to our table and bring us a delicious piece of sirloin steak, sausage, garlic steak, rack of lamb, chicken leg, tri-tip or chicken rolled in bacon. All the meats were tasty, tender and seasoned to perfection. Our servers where chatty and really put an effort into making us feel welcome. They absolutely contributed to the overall experience. After about an hour we were completely full and regreted we had to stop eating. The food was that good.
All I can say is we had a delicious meal and were completely stuffed when we were done. Although the restaurant was very busy it still looked/remained very clean. They made no mistakes with our drink orders and the staff was keen on keeping everything going like a well oiled machine. So we absolutely couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. Total bill was $112 without tip. At regular price our meal would have been $250 without tip and still worth the money. We will be visiting Pampas again and if we have to pay regular price that time, that won’t bother us for a second. Since we had such an extraordinary meal and great service, we left a $50 tip.
