Webmaster’s September 2012 stay in a Tropicana Club Suite
We’ve stayed at the Tropicana several times since they started the renovations a couple of years ago. September 2012 was our most recent stay and this time we decided to book a Club Suite. We arrived at the hotel around 4.30 p.m. and check-in went smooth. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and recognized us as returning visitors.
We received our key to room 2055, a Club Suite on the 20th floor with a great view at the Tropicana pool, Bagatelle and the Las Vegas Strip. The suite was clean, spacious and had all the amenities we could wish for: refrigerator, coffee maker, sofa, 2 large LCD TV’s, safe, robes, double sink, large shower with great water pressure, etc.
The king bed in our suite was very comfortable and the mattress was perfect. We slept like babies. Without doubt, the best Vegas bed we’ve slept in so far. Every morning when we went out the door, we left a $5 to 10$ tip for housekeeping. Everytime we came back to the room somewhere during the afternoon, the bed was made, fresh towels, new shampoo, soap and conditioner and a couple of bottled waters on the bar. And as a bonus we received a “thank you for the tip” note on our bed every day. Since the Club Tower is very close to McCarran airport we expected some noice but there was none.
We enjoyed the Tropicana pool a lot. We made great new friends there and the staff was fun, fast and always friendly. Emma, Lacey, Corey and Diane do a great job at the Tropicana pool and they will make sure you enjoy your pool time. They serve great cocktails and the music fits the South Beach theme of the entire resort.
The Tropicana has improved tremendously during the last couple of years. Their customer service (in our opinion) is among the best on the Las Vegas Strip. So if you’re considering the Tropicana for your next stay in Las Vegas: go for it!

We have been going to Las Vegas for over 30 years and have stayed at many nice casinos but find that we always come back to the Tropicana. We feel it is situated on the best corner.
Their rooms are elegant and very well appointed and all the employees there from the front desk to the grounds keepers are always so friendly and helpfull. We stayed in a Paradise Tower Deluxe Room multiple times. They have warm colours, new furniture and carpeting and the amenities we need. They are going to renovate the old Garden Rooms overlooking the pool and these were the rooms we liked the most in the past. So we hope we can stay in one of those in 2013.
We feel that the Trop has the best tropical pool in all of Las Vegas and it is always kept in the best condition. They also have a fantastic Italian Restaurant called Bacio and also a great steak house called Biscayne.
The new owners have done a great job with all the new upgrades and we look forward to our visit in 2013 to Las Vegas and the Tropicana. Terry and Bill from upstate New York.

I want to say the Tropicana has the best employee I’ve ever come in contact with Robert May was very attentive to my husband who is disabled and was in need of assistance he seen that I was struggling to help my husband and that sweet young man came over without me asking and offered to help. I cannot thank him enough for being such a great person, while other people walked by and didn’t offer a hand Robert was there. To offer his assistant, he was working by the tables and stop what he was doing. I am just overwhelmed with the compassion he displayed..thank you with all my heart. There needs to be more people in this world with such a wonderful demeanor. He brought tears to my eyes…we’ll be back for sure and we hope to run into Robert May our next visit, please express to him our deepest thanks…
